- we're in political Bizarro world, with Righty Tighties dropping their panties around their ankles over a candidate with no National Security experience atall but a really nice touch with a speech. I guess they're pretty well deaf to the irony. I even read someone on The Corner hyperventilating over what a rockstar La Barracuda is. Wait, I thought that was a BAD thing...

UPDATE: Okay so yeah I just watched McCain's acceptance. Substance aside (IRONY!) I find it borderline disrespectful that his stage managers played Heart's "Barracuda" as the second post-speech song. It was HIS night, the putative presidential candidate, and they play a cheap pander to his hot running mate's nickname.
It's not as bad as the DNC playing out Bill Clinton with "Addicted to Love" (seriously: W?! T?! F?!), but still. I almost felt bad for the old guy.

6. The chants of "USA, USA!" have got to go. Why not just chant "we live HERE, we live HERE!". Only thing stupider is that jackass who screams "get in the hole!" at every golf tournament.
