Via BoingBoing comes the re-born "storTroopers," an interface for creating a little .gif version of yourself. It's a heck of a way to while away some time online.
Here are my versions of myself and Lisa:

Then I got tempted by the other "wardrobe" options (you can pick Classic, Fashionista, or Goth) and decided to do the goth versions of us:

The biggest disappointment is that the babies aren't customizable beyond skin tone, and the strange little grubs they have available don't look anything like Max. Apparently the whole project is open to development - maybe they'll include that along with the new hair and outfits that they have planned.
[UPDATE: Yes, I redid mine and Lisa's because it was bugging me that we each had a baby, making it look like Max was twins. Yes, I had to go back and recreate them from scratch. Yes, I'm almost hopelessly anal.]
If you go make one yourself, email it to me at "rj at" procrastinet dot com. I'd love to post little pixelly pics of P'net readers...
UPDATE: Our first submission has arrived: Sannie K., official mother-in-law of Procrastinet, aka "MamaSan," aka "Nana Sanna," and it's a pretty darn good likeness. (Congrats, by the way, on your brand spanky new Apple Cinema 23" HD Flat-Panel Display!)
