I entered an over-complex search in the new Google Maps (now with satellite images! Yay!) and, while telling me that it didn't find anything, it showed me a small town called Coffeyville, which turns out to be in Kansas. I can't think why it would have done so, unless - with no results to dispaly - it simply showed me the center of the big US map.
So here, as a public service, I present Coffeyville, KS, the dead center of these United States of America:
[Side note: the best riff so far on the Google Maps satellite thing is, not surprisingly, this one from Defective Yeti.]
