Of course, if that's some kind of scar from his Vietnam captivity then I'm going to feel like a huge dong for making fun of it...

Actually, McCain received the scares during a flight deck fire while serving on the carrier USS Forrestal in 1967. http://www.wordiq.com/definition/USS_Forrestal_(CV-59)

Yeah, that still pretty much means I'm a big dong for making fun of it. Not that I was making fun so much as... um... observing... aw hell, it's indefensible.
