I had read, over the last several weeks, a bunch of "I know John Kerry" type articles and profiles, and the thesis of all of them was "John Kerry does best when you least expect it."
Sure, I thought. Convenient spin for a candidate who has consistently failed to set people on fire.
I take garlic flavored Tabasco with my crow, thanks.
It started with the first line. "John Kerry, reporting for duty."
Oh, no he din'nt.
Oh, yes he did.
More detailed response tomorrow. For now: Big John just crushed one clean out of the park. The playing field has been changed. As all the Channel 13 commentators agreed, the first thing the GOP is going to have to do in response is go change their suits, because they spent the whole 46 minutes of the speech sweating.
Yesterday, the problem was that Democrats were more excited about removing George Bush than they were about electing John Kerry.
I don't think we're going to have that problem anymore.
